Who Owns Twitter Followers?

PhoneDog, a website that reviews and reports on mobile devices and services, has sued former employee Noah Kravitz for $340,000 over the ownership of the PhoneDog Twitter account and its followers. 


Part of Kravitz’s duties at PhoneDog was to set up and use the company’s Twitter feed to promote PhoneDog .  Kravitz opened a PhoneDog Twitter account linking it to his personal email account, @PhoneDog_Noah. Kravitz used the account to promote PhoneDog’s services and news.

Small Law Firms Have Bigger Social Media Presence


Vizibility, Inc. and LexisNexis have released the results of a survey done on social media marketing use by attorneys and law firms. The research suggests most lawyers use some social media platform as part of their overall marketing strategy.

A whopping 81% of survey respondents reported already using social media marketing while another 10% indicate they plan to add social media to their marketing mix in 2012.

YouTube Redesign Hopes to Integrate Facebook Users with Google+
Google has redesigned their look for YouTube based on feedback received from users, partners and channel owners after the YouTube Cosmic Panda update. According to Google, the goal of the redesig n is an effort to help users customize their channel, engage their audience and expand their presence.

ABA Shutting Down LegallyMinded Social Networking Site

Facebook Questions - Ask 500 Million of your Closest Friends
Starting today, Facebook is rolling out their Facebook Questions (FQ) feature.  If you've used Yahoo! Answers then you are familiar with the concept - you post a question, and anyone else on Yahoo! Answers can provide and answer, and vice versa.  With FQ, of course, your FQ can be answered by 500 million of your closest friends .
