Gravier House Press Launches New Web Site

Gravier House Press, www.gravierhouse.com, owned and published by Steve Herman of New Orleans, and a member of the law firm Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar, LLP, New Orleans, announces the launching of the company’s new web site.  The site was developed by WebJuris, www.webjuris.com.

The Gravier House Press is a collection of writings including a literary blog, a law blog, and a political blog, to discuss various aspects of politics and pop culture, literature, the media, the arts, and legal developments including - Class Action Law, Products Liability Law, ERISA Litigation, Spoliation and Electronic Discovery.  It also allows discussions about current and past U.S. presidential topics, the Secularist Agenda, the Need for Tort Reform, and other topics.  Mr. Herman is also the author of several fiction books mostly, specifically non-law related.

As a practicing attorney Mr. Herman has handled everything from highway defect and products liability cases, fire and flood loss cases, attorney fee disputes and employment cases, special appellate work before the Louisiana Supreme Court and other courts of appeal. He has recently focused on commercial, class action, insurance coverage and professional liability cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

Appointed to serve as a Hearing Committee Member for the Louisiana Disciplinary Board, he has been named a Louisiana "Super Lawyer" in class actions and mass tort cases in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and was a Finalist for TLPJ Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2005.

An adjunct professor in complex litigation at both Tulane Law School and the Loyola University School of Law, Mr. Herman has given numerous speeches on consumer fraud, tobacco, and managed care litigation; complex discovery, electronic discovery, and spoliation; preemption, privilege, trial preparation, deposition strategy, motion practice, legal ethics and professionalism, class actions, and complex litigation.
