San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program Announces the Launching of their New Web Site
San Diego, CA

The San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program (SDVLP) announced the launching of their new web site, www.sdvlp.org.  The web site was developed by WebJuris, www.webjuris.com.

SDVLP, a non-profit organization, was formed in 1983 for free aid to the homeless; abused children; domestic violence victims; elder abuse victims; veterans; immigrants; and HIV/AIDS victims.  75% of the SDVLP clients are women and children.  Each year more than 6,500 clients are assisted.  This number is only a small fraction of the people who need assistance in San Diego County.  SDVLP is the county’s oldest pro bono legal services program.

Besides the current staff of 20, consisting of lawyers, administrative and support staff, the program also has 3,000 registered volunteers.  The organization is supported by grants; service contracts from public and private agencies; foundations and professional organizations; contributions from businesses, corporations, law firms; and individuals.

SDVLP volunteers are made up of lawyers, law firms, law students and paralegals.  Availability and preferences are up to the volunteer.  WebJuris not only volunteered to develop the web site, but also to design the new logo.
